Overall Balancing > Your 'Life Balance' group
Your 'Life Balance' group
by Lars Sudmann, April 27, 2008
You probably have read the excellent article by Jack Canfield on the Mastermind groups. We recommend to start now and form a group that deals specifically with issues on Life Balance.
So often people complain about their overall balance, how overworked they are, how much stress they have. However, very often no action is taken to reverse this situation and the energy spent complaining is lost.
You can turn that around - by forming a powerful group with other fellow seekers of Life Balance: you can exchange yourself on Life Balance matters and get ideas and new thoughts as well as encouragement from others. Everybody has a best practice when it comes to Life Balance. Fred might have this little secret on how to best deal with e-mails; Mary-Ann might know how to incorporate that little sport exercise into the daily routine. By mutual sharing you will build your personal 'Life Balance toolbox' from all of these best practices - Here's how:
- Find like-minded people, e.g. at work;
- If you are self-employed and work on your own, join an association
- Fix a date that suits you all - best is over lunch or for breakfast
- Have some healthy and energizing food around
- Each time, let one person think about one of their best practices beforehand, and let them briefly present it in your group - it's important that you focus on the positive side of that best practice
- The other members should then discuss how they could implement that best practice in their live.
Keep up your meeting for at leats 6 months - only by this constant focus on your life balance will you be able to see changes. A balanced life is all about choices, and about little changes here and there in your life - a 'Life Balance Group' will help you making those choices, and will give you support and food for thought.
